Ward Engineering, LLC — a growing structural and civil engineering firm based in Galt, California — is expanding! We’re excited to launch a new Geotechnical Services Division and are actively seeking a licensed Geotechnical Engineer to lead this new branch.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and self-motivated professional to shape a growing discipline within our firm — with the flexibility to work from home and manage your own hours.

🔧 Responsibilities

• Perform relative compaction testing and geotechnical services for residential and small commercial projects

• Communicate directly with clients and contractors

• Solicit and secure new geotechnical projects

• Manage all phases of geotechnical testing, reporting, and documentation

• Provide occasional support to the structural and civil design team

✅ Requirements

• California Professional Engineer (PE) license with Geotechnical designation

• Field testing and reporting experience (e.g. compaction testing, documentation)

• Strong communication and client coordination skills

• Based within driving distance of Galt / Sacramento / Lodi area

• Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
