Ward Engineering began working with the McKimmy family in early 2014 after they purchased an undeveloped 10-acre property adjacent to Skunk Creek, on which they planned to build their ranch-style home. Little did the McKimmys know that obtaining the required permits in order to develop on the property, which is in a FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), would be a very problematic and time-consuming process. Fortunately, with experience in both residential design and floodplain management, Matthew Ward was able to guide the McKimmy's every step of the way. The services that Matthew provided were cost- and time-saving.
